Patch Notes v1.4

Welcome to another edition of Patch Notes, your guide to what’s been going on in our community in the last month.

We got the chance to wander through Guild Wars 2 twice this month during the beta weekend and subsequent stress test. We’ve started putting together a gallery of screenshots that were taken during this time and you can add yours by posting them in the pictures thread. There’s also a few of videos of the beta finales which saw guild member turn on guild member under the service of Kralkatorrik!

We got the exciting news last Thursday that Guild Wars 2 will be releasing on 28th August 2012, and the final beta weekend will start on the 20th July with a new video from ArenaNet. Is that Zaitan at the end? Won’t be long until we can find out!

This month we also announced the changes which will be happening shortly to our structure. There’ll be more of this to come in the next month, where our focus will be heavily on preparations for Guild Wars 2, with a second trial run on the guild roster and other changes to the website to make our lives easier.

Of course if you’re looking to finish off reaching your goals in Guild Wars, you can call on your guild mates to help you either in game or on our forum. The Hall of Monuments scheme is still available and will be reviewed at the end of the month to continue to help as many people as possible. congratulations to Auronold for hitting 30 HoM points and to Absolute-Zero for reaching 50 HoM points. Well done to Ethea for her progress on the way to 50 too!

Gods and Kings, the expansion to Civilization V released in June and there’s been a few multiplayer matches going on Steam. There’s also been a few people trying out the beta of Smite, a MOBA along the same lines as DOTA 2 which remains a popular game. There’s also been a few shenanigans on games like Dead Island and DayZ. If you’d like to get involved with these kinds of games the best way is to join our Steam group and hop into group chat – contact Andypanda for an invite.
