Guild Missions and Events Changing Times!

Post » 23 Sep 2015 11:17

[EDIT: After a couple of weeks of trial and error we have changed mission times back to Sundays but later at 1pm UTC. Thanks for bearing with us as we tried out the different times this month! The missions should now stay at this time for UK and CET even when daylight savings hits again! For the rest of UTC when daylight savings comes back the time will simply be one hour earlier at 12pm UTC but we will make sure to remind you nearer the time!]

Guild Missions and Guild Events are changing times!

Starting on the 3rd of October Missions will no longer be running at Sunday Lunchtime. Instead all Missions will be run on Saturdays at 10am UTC (11am UK).
Events will still run on a Sunday but at the new time of 2pm UTC (3pm UK)!

This is due to member feedback on our recent Survey - the results of which will be published in full at the end of the week, so watch this space...

Hope to see you all there!

Really sad missions no longer run on sunday afternoons. This timeslot basically means I will no longer be able to participate, and it kinda was the only thing I still felt as a real guild outing. Mostly due to the consistent amount of people joining every week.
But if it is what most of the members wanted, then I shall accept that, and see if i can join on a blue monday (well saturday). But if at all possible I'd prefer the missions and event time to swap, as I usually have less interest in the events (and that time I showed up there was not enough people :( gw1 no love). But again, if this is just me, and most members want it how it will be currently I have no issues with that.

To be fair, we are trying this out, and if it doesn't work for people we can change things up again

Hey all,

Just heard from the team and wanted to give you an update:

At this time, we expect there will be no changes to the guild mission reset time before launch of Heart of Thorns. We’re investigating the connection between guild mission reset times and raids reset times, and we will know more in the upcoming weeks.

For now, count on the guild reset to take place as normal on Saturday evening Pacific time. We apologize for any inconvenience that our previous message may have caused.

Back at you when we have any further info on this in the future.

..I wish she answered the Bloom issue too.

...and that mission times were a bit later.

With the change in time would be nice if one of the officers actually turned up to run them, whilst anyone can start them, if we dont have time to do the full set people are going to get dissapointed when the person running leaves.

I guess the timelock is pretty set for missions at this point? If it is, I'll be no longer able to participate in them ever, since it's smack in the middle at lunch for me.. sigh :/

No it isn't set. We just didn't want to change it forth and back every 2 weeks but it seems to look like Saturday is indeed not ideal for many.

To be clear, I don't mind Saturday, I just can't make it on exactly noon.

They are now held at 1pm UTC on Sundays!

Will we be changing the time to 12pm UTC once daylight saving hits again? That way it would stay at 1pm UK and 2pm central Europe regardless of daylight saving or not.
